Meet Mariah! Miss fashionista! Mariah is a senior at Blacksburg High School and is headed off to college in North Carolina this Fall. When the weather warmed up enough we headed over to Virginia Tech to capture a few senior moments as well as to get some shots with mom and dad! HUNTER APIARIES
Recently, I was approached by the great folks over at Hunter Apiaries to take some photos for their feature in this month’s issue of Virginia Living. I’ve long been fascinated by beekeeping and am interested in having a few hives myself one day. I really enjoyed the opportunity to get right in the middle of the hives to see how fascinating the whole process is.

AFTER A LONG WINTER.
If you know much about me, you know I have a thing for Spring. Our bones start to thaw, Winter’s mental cobwebs start to clear and the promise and warmth of Summer is just around the corner! Every Spring seems better than the last. Even more so this year, after an especially long, cold Winter. My heart beats a little bit faster and there is a lightness my step as I look forward to being outdoors more. Even on a cloudy day, Spring holds promise.
